RARE’s rapid growth in local and interstate moving services is attributed to a unique company culture that celebrates teamwork. A black-owned business, RARE’s culture of hard work, integrity and being flexible has allowed RARE to build a fiercely loyal residential and commercial customer base. Staying until the job is done – no matter what it takes – is what RARE is known for.
Started in 2009, RARE’s founder, Kamaul Reid, born and bred in Boston, holds a degree in Economics from University of Massachusetts and is a proud graduate of Boston Latin High School. With over 20 years of experience in the moving industry, Kamaul has instilled a relentless focus on knowing and satisfying the priorities of each client.
RARE sets itself apart from competitors by carefully recruiting and training professional moving teams that deliver a stress-free moving experience. Simply put, RARE takes care of all the details whether it’s moving grand pianos, hoisting multi-ton boilers, reassembling office furniture and equipment or cleaning and disposing of junk at the end of the move.
As importantly, RARE invests in the community with the majority of its employees coming from Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan and support of initiatives from delivering critical Hurricane Katrina supplies to employee participation in Walk for Hunger.
RARE is making a difference for clients and the communities it serves – the kind of company you want to do business with.
In 2007, Kamaul Reid, RARE’s founder, released the autobiographical accounts of his moving experience
